GovAiLab

The Government Technology and Artificial Intelligence Lab, or GovAiLab for short, focuses on helping public sector authorities experiment with new technological solutions that may assist them achieve their goals. The GovAiLab is a partner for public sector institutions, managers, development teams, and IT managers by offering assistance with making complex decisions about future technological investments and developments, developing IT architectures, and helping develop organizational competence and capacity in AI.

ABOUT US

The GovAiLab is a new initiative at Tallinn University of Technology's School of Information Technologies. The goal of the lab is to bring together research teams from the school under one larger center so that Estonia's leading experts on AI, machine learning, data science, IT architecture, and other related fields can be easily accessible. Custom made teams of experts from the GovAiLab can be assembled on a project basis to help analyze, solve, and prototype issues for public sector organizations. The GovAiLab also aims to give students, who are future public sector employees, the ability to gain real world experience by working with our team on our projects.

We help to answer questions such as:

  • How can we use AI in our organization?
  • How can we transform our organization to be ready for AI?
  • How can we make our data ready for AI?

As organizations continue to work with more and more data, new questions about existing IT architecture are brought up. There is a need for better understanding of an organization's current information system architectures and technical solutions as well as the future vision that is able to incorporate new disruptive technologies into the day-to-day business processes.

The GovAiLab does not aim to be a traditional software development partner, but to help organizations the hard and complicated questions they face about the current and future use of technology in their organizations. .
